Spring Track Weekly Update
We hope everyone had a great long weekend. It is hard to believe that this is the final week of our season. Here is our schedule.
Tuesday - DQ Run!!!!! We plan on running from WMS to DQ in Natick for an ice cream. Team members need to bring a few dollars with them if they want an ice cream. We will jog/run/walk back to WMS by 3:45. Please plan on picking up your child at WMS between 3:45 and 4:00.
**In order to take part in the DQ Run, each person needs to return a permission slip. Thanks to those who have done so already. If you need a copy of the permission slip, please click on the link below to access it. You can print it out, sign it and return it to a coach tomorrow.

**If the weather is poor, we will change our DQ Run to Thursday.
Wednesday - Final meet of the season against Stony Brook MS (Westford). This will be our final meet and it takes place at Stony Brook MS in Westford (9 Farmer's Way). Seeing that Wednesday is an early release, track team members will report to the coaches' class rooms until the buses arrive. It is our hope that the buses will be available at 1:30 to bring us to Westford, but we will not know until later in the day tomorrow. Otherwise, we will leave Wayland at 2:30 and the meet should begin around 4:00. Westford is a long drive, so we will not be back to WMS until 6:30.

**Thanks to everyone for a great season. We hope your child enjoyed the team and we would encourage everyone to pursue the sport next year at WMS or at the high school. In addition, all 6th and 7th graders are encouraged to join the WMS Cross Country Team next Fall. Details to follow...

Lexington Meet - Tuesday
When we returned from the LS Invitational tonight, we learned from our athletic director that our meet against Lexington has been cancelled tomorrow afternoon because of a high school lacrosse game. Sorry for the late notice but it is completely out of our hands.
We plan on practicing at the middle school from 2:30-3:30. Thanks for your understanding.

Spring Track Weekly Update
Here is the schedule for the week.
Monday - L-S Invitational for those team members who qualified. The bus will leave WMS at 2:30 and transport us to LS High School for the meet. It is scheduled to begin at 4:00. The meet typically ends around 7:00 and then we will be back to the middle school around 7:30. There will not be practice on Monday seeing that the coaches will be attending the LS Invitational.
Tuesday - Home meet against Clarke (Lexington). The meet should begin between 3:45 and 4:00 seeing that Lexington has a later dismissal time. Hope to see many of you at the high school to cheer us on.
Thursday - Practice at the middle school from 2:30-3:30 for 6th and 8th graders only. The 7th graders will be on the Cape Cod Trip.
Friday - No Practice - Enjoy the long weekend.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the track moms out there! We hope you had a great day!
Here is the schedule for the week:
Monday - Home meet against Blanchard (Westford). The meet will take place at Wayland High School and hopefully will begin around 3:30.
Tuesday - Practice at the middle school from 2:30-3:45
Thursday - Away meet against Acton. This meet takes place at the Acton-Boxboro High School track. We will be transported by bus from WMS to Acton and will be brought home at the conclusion of the meet. The buses should return to WMS around 6:00.
Friday - Practice at the middle school from 2:30-3:45.
**It is a busy week. Hope to see some of you at the meet cheering us on!

We hope everyone had a nice weekend. Here is the schedule for the week (it is a busy one).
Monday - Away meet against Diamond MS (Lexington) at Lexington High School. The meet should begin around 3:30. We will be leaving WMS at 2:30 on 2 buses (girls bus and boys bus). The team buses will transport us to Lexington and then we will return to WMS on the buses at the conclusion of the meet. Our approximate return time will be between 5:45 and 6:00. Please understand that the return time is just an approximation. It is challenging to be precise due to traffic on 128. If you plan on picking up your child at the meet in Lexington, please be sure to bring in a note to the coaches explaining your pick-up plan or send an email.

Thursday - Home meet against Billerica. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 but as we saw last week, it depends on the time that our opponent arrives.
